Teaching Suffrage with Primary Sources

November 7, 2015

9am- 12pm

Educators will learn the sophisticated tactics used by the National Woman’s Party to win the vote, focusing on how the NWP used the media to gain support for the suffrage amendment. Educators will have the opportunity to work with primary sources from the NWP archive, have an introduction to the Newseum’s suffrage learning module and have time to collaborate with other educators on dynamic lesson plans. This workshop takes place at Sewall-Belmont House & Museum, in partnership with the Newseum and AAUW.
