Star Trek & Feminism: Where No Woman Has Gone Before, March 24th

March 24, 2018

When the rules are shattered, when the divides between race, gender, and class no longer exist, and when adventure and exploration are frontiers open to anyone willing and able to boldly go where no one has gone before, a Modern Hero is created. Led by Ranger Zach Whitlow at the Belmont-Paul Women’s Equality National Monument, this talk will explore how Star Trek breaks the barriers of race, gender, and class by creating a feminist world ruled not by the societal structures of identity politics but by laws of justice, equality, and the celebration of difference.

When: March 24th, 1pm                                                                                    Where: Belmont-Paul Women’s Equality National Monument, 144 Constitution Ave. NE, Washington, DC
