Jennifer Krafchik

Deputy Director and Director of Strategic Initiatives

Jennifer Krafchik is the Deputy Director and Director of Strategic Initiatives and has been with the Museum off and on for more than 14 years.  Jennifer Krafchik was the Library Director at the Historical Society of Washington, D.C. and prior to that, was the Assistant Director and Director of Collections at the Sewall-Belmont House & Museum. She has extensive experience in collections management, marketing, administration, and building strategic partnerships, particularly around public access to women’s history collections. She is also a member of the advisory committee for the AASLH Women’s History Affinity Group. She is project manager for two initiatives that will foster broader access to women’s rights collections and increase collaboration between sites in the years leading up to the 2020 centennial of the Nineteenth Amendment, granting women the right to vote.
